Winter Wellness Wednesday

1 June: Winter Wellness Wednesday

This Wednesday is the first day of winter. Take care of your hauora (health) to keep you and your whānau well over winter.

The best ways to stay well over winter are:

  • Stay active and step outside for fresh air and sunshine when you can
  • Eat good kai with lots of fruit and veggies
  • Keep warm
  • Wear a mask when indoors outside your where (home)
  • Wash or sanitise your hands
  • Stay home if you're sick and get a COVID-19 test
  • Increase your immunity – get your COVID-19 booster and flu jab, and kōrero with your whānau to check their immunisations are up-to-date.

Be in to win!

The first two people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 or the flu at our community vaccination centres this Winter Wellness Wednesday will win a winter wellness pack. The pack is full of goodies to keep you and your whānau well this winter including vitamin C and mānuka honey.
